The name
The firm is named for the Venerable Bede — the Northumbrian monk-scholar who wrote England’s first history, checked his sources, and produced work that has lasted thirteen centuries. We hold our products to the same standard: careful, useful, built to endure. It’s a high bar. Aiming at it keeps the work honest.
